Here's the map showing our provisional route around the country. We'll be filling in more details and tagging locations with more info as we go along. The basic plan is to head south for the warmest weather during the winter and then head back north again during the summer, although we're saving some of the higher elevation national parks for the summer months too. The first leg will take us south to Florida, via Shenandoah National Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Great Smoky Mountains. We'll be saying with some friends in Jacksonville for Thanksgiving and then heading to Miami, where Kathryn will be writing about Art Basel Miami. Then we're going on to the Keys and we'll be there by mid-December. The first stop, though, is Gettysburg. Let's hope the weather stays warm(ish) and the worst of hurricane season is now behind us.

Alaska unfortunately would require that 2017 had 2 more summer months - maybe next (life)time!
